: The study was approved by the Kampala International University Research Ethics Committee (KIU-REC) with REC number (2024–734) and registered with the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology. Procedures followed OECD 425 and Nuffield Council on Bioethics guidelines. Plant material collection was conducted on private land in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality, Bushenyi district, Western Uganda, with verbal permission from the landowner. No additional permits were required as Aloe vera is a non-protected species, and collection did not involve any protected areas or require governmental authorization.
