: The leaves of C. excavata were collected from a private garden with permission from the owner Dr. Paranee Sripreechasak (one of the authors in this manuscript) in February 2023. This garden is located in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. The plant was identified by one of the authors (N. Lertnitikul). A voucher specimen of this plant (NL11023) has been deposited at the herbarium of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
