: This study received ethical approval from Tigray Health Research Institute Ethics Review Committee (IRB number: 65/2024) in Ethiopia. Informed consent was also obtained from traditional healers participated in this study for the collected information and sample analysis. We also obtained a permission from the land owners to collect each plant specimen. The study was conducted in compliance with the standards highlighted in the Declaration of Helsinki.
