: YB is a Biochemist trained at The Scripps Research Institute, USA and the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Germany. He is currently, an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and with clinical research, is involved in teaching medical students, curriculum and course-design and delineation of student assessment policies.AA is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology. She was part of collaborative groups on writing cardiovascular guidelines. Her present role is to develop and coordinate the epidemiology and research in UME.CT is a Learning Designer with expertise in the fields of healthcare simulation and learning and teaching enhancement through technology-enabled learning. He is also experienced in both project planning and operationalization of medical simulation and digital learning services in European and Middle Eastern Hospital and University environments.PL is a lipidologist, educator and innovator. He has been instrumental in setting up The Dutch National Lipid Clinic Network, the Dutch Lipid Clinic Criteria for Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH), and the Dutch National FH screening program. He has conducted over 1000 CPD/CME events in 89 countries.RB was educated in Khartoum and the UK. He has made important contributions to human genetics research in the Sudan, UAE and Oman. He is currently Professor of Biochemistry and Chair of Basic Medical Sciences in MBRU.DD is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto; Visiting Professor, at MBRU. A family physician and a prominent figure in continuing education in Canada and the US, his rigorous, outcome-based focus on CME has garnered grants totaling several million dollars, and publication of roughly 150 peer-reviewed papers, dozens of abstracts, book chapters, and three major books.

: The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences-Institutional Review board reviewed the present study (Application number MBRU-IRB-2017-008) and ruled that no formal ethics approval was required in this particular case. Further clarification can be obtained from the MBRU-IRB at irb@mbru.ac.ae.This study was initiated in the Spring Semester of 2017 in the course of Molecular Biology and Principles of Genetics, where we implemented a specific strategy (delineated above) to disseminate the course learning objectives. This strategy was designed in-line with a teaching principle, which was derived from established theories of teaching and learning. No students were enrolled for this study. The data presented above is the student feed-back that is collected at MBRU in the form of course-feedback (usually conducted for all courses), no questionnaire or survey was separately created or designed for this study. This was indicated in the IRB application that was submitted to MBRU-IRB. MBRU-IRB approved the waiver.
