Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study protocol was presented to the president of the Ethics Committee of Geneva (Commission Cantonale d’Ethique de la Recherche, CCER). According to that committee’s 2009 decision and the University of Geneva’s Faculty of Medicine Teaching Committee Office, research projects in the field of medical education, dealing with existing anonymized data, and designed to evaluate the quality of undergraduate or postgraduate educational programs, are exempt from the need for a full review process and formal approval by the Ethics Committee.
