: All the residents were educated in the Social Emergency Medicine module. The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Indus Hospital and Health Network. Informed consent to participate was obtained from the participants. Informed written consent was sought by the Principal Investigator (PI). Any queries raised during the obtaining of consent were answered. The consent for the SEM intervention was obtained in person at Indus Hospital and Health Network, Karachi, on a paper based, English consent form with signature. All interventions were carried out in accordance with institutional and national guidelines. Identification of the participants was kept confidential through codes with issuance of unique identity before transcribing. Electronic Data was password protected and was accessible only to the Principal Investigator and Research Associate. After the publication of the study, the data will be archived under password protection.
