: The programme that this course is a part of was an implementation programme with a robust Monitoring and Evaluation framework developed in partnership with The Kenya Ministry of Health and key stakeholders at the Moi University and University of Nairobi. This formative evaluation, was compliant with the Data Protection Act 2019 of the Republic of Kenya ( ) and the Data Protection Act 2018 UK ( ) no personal information was collected and all participants were provided with information on what data will be collected and how it will be used. They had the opportunity not to participate at the various data collection points. All methods were carried out as per relevant guidelines and regulations. Delivery and evaluation of the course using both the traditional and the blended learning approaches was approved by the Kenya Ministry of Health and all participating counties. No institutional research and ethics review was sought, but informed consent to participate in the course and pre and post course assessment was obtained from all participants before the start of the training. Completing assessments before and after the training was considered part of the learning experience, but participants could opt out of the assessment if they so desired after reviewing the information provided at registration.
