Declarations
:
: This study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethics approval was not deemed necessary according to national regulations, specifically in relation to Sects. 3 and 4 of the Ethical Review Act []. The Swedish Ethical Review Authority specifies that research in Sweden is only required to have approval by an ethical review board if it includes sensitive personal data or personal data about violations of the law, involves a physical intervention conducted on a research participant, employs a method that aims to physically or mentally affect the research subject, concerns the study of biological material obtained from a living person and which can be traced back to that person, involves a physical intervention on a deceased person, or concerns the study of biological material obtained for medical purposes from a deceased person and which can be traced back to that individual. The current study was not considered dependent of ethical approval as data collected did not fall under the categories specified but were instead related to the evaluation of a mentorship program using an anonymous web-survey where the participants’ anonymity was safeguarded in both the analysis and publication processes. Informed consent was not collected from participants as this was not a study requiring ethical approval. Participants were however informed of the purpose of the web-survey and participation was anonymous and voluntary.
