: The study is part of the study “Effectiveness of a training program for healthcare professionals on parental cancer: Results of a randomized controlled pilot-study”, which was registered within the German Clinical Trial Register (DRKS-00015794) and approved by the Local Psychological Ethics Committee of the Center for Psychosocial Medicine, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany (LPEK-001). The psychometric evaluation of the SE-12-G was a secondary analysis of data gathered in the randomized controlled pilot-study.
