: Ethical approval was obtained from the University of Sheffield (Application No. 030999). This study was conducted in full accordance with the WMA Declaration of Helsinki for ethical principles in medical research involving human participants.Prior to the event, trainees received study information via email. On the first day of the bootcamp, a face-to-face discussion with the research team provided further details. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants before data collection. This included consent for participation and dissemination of anonymized data. Participants were also explicitly informed of their right to withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. Risk-benefit assessment was documented in the ethics application, confirming that the minimal risks associated with participation were outweighed by the potential benefits to surgical education.
