In addition, you may be asked to participate in an optional focus group session. The anticipated time commitment is 1-hour. During the focus group session, you will be asked to think aloud and share your thoughts about different elements of peer review design. The focus group session will occur using Zoom.Will you be compensated?There is no compensation for participation in this study.What are the benefits of participating?Your participation benefits others by informing and influencing future decisions around peer evaluation.What are the risks of participating?The only anticipated risk of participating in this study is a potential breach in privacy/confidentiality.How will your information be protected?All data will be housed securely on a password-protected spreadsheet on an approved, secure online database through UNC. The results will not be shared with you or others. We anticipated publishing the results of this study and presenting the information as part of poster presentation. All personal information will be de-identified and will not be shared with others.What are my rights if I take part in this study?You have the right to choose to participate in the study. Choosing not to participate will not negatively affect your grade in the course. You also have the right to back out of the study and stop participating at any point in time.
