: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. It was approved by Sikt, the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research (ref. 224868). Participation was voluntary and did not influence the students’ assessments or the GPs’ role in the university system. Informed consent was obtained from all participants for their experiences in the dyad placement to be audio recorded and analysed for research purposes.
