The study was formally submitted to and approved by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine MSc Research Ethics Committee. Reference number: 25464. Following submission of a description of the study, the NHS Health Research Authority (HRA) confirmed that formal approval was not required since the only participants were NHS staff, that only non-identifiable information would be collected, and that the study was not focused on individual people or NHS sites.
