: The study was approved by the local cantonal ethics committee (Commission Cantonale d’Ethique de la Recherche sur l’être humain, BASEC number: 2021 − 00302) in accordance with the Federal Human Research Act (art.34). The approval included a waiver for for individual patient consent, based on the impracticality of obtaining consent and the expected scientific benefit. The local ethics committee considered this secondary analysis and complementary data extraction regarding bed occupancy and socioeconomic status as nonsubstantial amendments.
