: Our study was performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (2020–01784) and amendment (2020–06818). All doctors participating in the COVID rounds and moral case deliberations provided informed consent to audio recordings by agreeing to take part in the sessions. The interview informants provided written informed consent. Confidentiality was maintained by anonymising all data and securely storing identifiable information. Participation was voluntary, with participants free to withdraw at any stage.
