In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, 45 CFR 46.102(e)(1), analysis of de-identified data does not constitute human subjects research and therefore does not require IRB review. Data used in this analysis have been extracted from this environment using an established protocol for data extraction, aimed at preserving patient privacy. The data have been de-identified pursuant to an expert determination in accordance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule (45 CFR 164.514(b)(1)).
