: The ethical clearance for this study was obtained from the Wolaita Sodo University Institutional Review Board (WSU-IRB) with protocol number WSU-IRB/27126/2023 written on November 12/2023. Additionally, a letter of cooperation was carefully prepared and submitted to each participating comprehensive specialized hospital. Before data collection, informed consent was obtained from the nurses working in intensive care units and emergency rooms who participated in the study. It was emphasized to all participants that they had the right to decline participation in the quantitative and qualitative study, and stringent confidentiality measures were implemented to protect their privacy. The study consistently upheld the fundamental ethical principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice to ensure the well-being and safety of the participants. Furthermore, this study strictly adhered to the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki for research involving human subjects, as well as the publication ethics guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
