: This study involving human participants adhered to ethical standards outlined by institutional and national research committees and the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments. Ethical approval was granted by Debre Markos University's College of Health Sciences Institutional Research Ethical Review Committee (IRERC) on December 29, 2023. Data collection was collected from January 1 to March 30, 2024. Written, informed consent was obtained from all participants before the commencement of the study. Additionally, permissions were obtained from hospitals with adult ICUs in the Amhara region. Participants were assured of confidentiality, and informed of their right to decline or withdraw from the study at any time.
