: The Swedish Ethics Review Authority assessed this study (DNR: 2021 − 00703) and decided that it did not require ethical approval by Swedish law. The methods used for data collection were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Before data collection started, interview and field observation participants received information about the study and were told that they could withdraw at any time. Each participant also signed an informed consent form. Ethical considerations were continuously made during field observations of what and how to document, especially while following the nurses during home visits.
