: This study obtained approval from the University of Witwatersrand Human Research Ethics Committee (Certificate number: M220538). The study protocol was created in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Participants were sent an information sheet that described the study. Participants who agreed to participate were asked to complete an informed consent form prior data collection, with the option to withdraw their participation at any time. Pseudo names were used instead of Nursing colleges and nurse leaders to ensure anonymity and confidentiality; participant information was stored on a password-protected computer for researcher access only.
