: The need for ethics approval for the Quarantine Research Time Program (QRTP) was waived by the South Western Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee. However, individual research project conducted by the QRTP candidates was approved by the South Western Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee. This project and the QRTP strictly adhered to the ethical principles set forth in the Helsinki Declaration to maintain its integrity. The need for consent to participate in the QRTP was deemed unnecessary according to the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2023) and confirmed by the South Western Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee.
