Ethical approval for the study was obtained from the relevant institutional ethical review boards that’s to say, The Faculty Research Committee (FRC) and The Research Ethics Committee (MUST-REC, MUST- 2023 − 1153) of Mbarara University of Sciences and Technology, A waiver of consent for observation of study participants for practice in pressure ulcer prevention and permission to conduct the study was also sought from the Research Ethics Committee (REC) of Mulago National referral hospital where the study was conducted.

Participants were assured of their right to withdraw at any time without any repercussions, and confidentiality and anonymity of the data were strictly maintained.
