: Ethical approval for conducting the study was obtained from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences Institutional Review Board (MUHAS-REC-11-2023-1977). Permission to collect data was obtained from all individual hospitals as per the following reference numbers: Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH/TRCU/IRB/PERM/2024/125), Muhimbili National Hospital-Mloganzila campus (Ref. No.: JA.428/503/01A), Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (Ref. No: AB.123/307/01 L/54), and Muhimbili Orthopedic Institute (Ref.PA.183/338/102). All activities performed in this study involving human participants were conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional research committees and with the Declaration of Helsinki. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants before data collection. Nurses who agreed to participate were asked to sign a consent form after being informed about the purpose of the study, the voluntary nature of participation, and the confidentiality of the information provided. Participants were also informed of their right to withdraw from the study at any time without penalty.
