Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Before starting the research study, Nijmegen’s Independent Review Board was asked for ethics approval. They granted a waiver as ethics approval is not required for the part of our study where respondents were asked for their experiences under the Medical Research (Human Subjects) Act.The questionnaires for professionals and patients were not mandatory. They were asked by post to participate on a voluntary basis. The questionnaires were also anonymous.
