Authors’ information
: The interviewer (IF) has both academic and practical qualifications regarding conducting qualitative interviews. IF holds a Master in Economics and was employed at a hospital producing HTA assessments (often including staff/patient interviews) for 6 years prior to this interview. The researchers’ perspective in this study was initially (due to a preliminary literature review) that sofisticated techniques like Baysian Analysis would be used and further that relevant learning points for hospitals could be identified from how early assessment is carried out in the industry.
: Ethical approval for this type of study is not required in our region. Legislation can be found on the following link:ExternalRef removed. Written consent to participate was obtained from the 11 participating organisations by email prior to the interview. Further, verbal consent was obtained at the start of each interview, as participants were informed about the objective of the study, the anonymity of their answers and that they could withdraw consent (opt-out) at any time.
