Gathering data from stakeholders is part of the legally defined role of the Belgian KCE, as outlined in the Law of 24 December 2002 (articles 259–300), which founded the Belgian KCE. The approval of an ethical committee is not required where individual patients are not interviewed or no intervention takes place.
