Ethics approval and consent to participate
: All study procedures were approved by the legal departments of the University of Bielefeld and the Franziskus-Hospital, Bielefeld. The participation in the study was voluntary. All the participants signed a consent after being informed about the study. The study is a dissertation study performed by Dr. Damaris Borowski. The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Uwe Koreik (University of Bielefeld) and Prof. Dr. Udo Ohm (University of Bielefeld). The study was conducted at the clinic for Anaesthesia of the Franziskus Hospital in Bielefeld. The chief doctor of this clinic (Prof. Dr. Dr. Niels Rahe-Meyer) also approved the study procedures.
