Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical approval to conduct the study was obtained from the Makerere University School of Medicine Research Ethics Committee (Reference Number: UG-REC-006) and waiver of consent was received from the same institution, to access the patient files. Permission was obtained from the district health authorities before conducting the study. Patient unique clinic numbers were used to ensure the collected information was de-identified. We obtained written informed consent from the participants of the KIIs and In-depth interviews.
