Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethics approval for the study was obtained from the University of Ibadan/University College Hospital Ethics Review Committee with approval number UI/EC/18/0429. Permission was also obtained from the Head of respective primary healthcare centres. Verbal informed consent in accordance with the approved study protocol by the Ethics committee, was obtained from individual participant after explaining the objectives and procedure of the study to participant individually. The consent information as contained in the informed consent form was read and explained to individual participant prior to questionnaire administration. Verbal informed consent was deemed appropriate for our study being a questionnaire-based survey with questions carefully designed without infringement on participants’ privacy. Also, the questionnaire and informed consent form for the patient was duly translated into the local language of the patients for proper comprehension.
