Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethics approval was granted by the Research and Ethics Office of the South Western Sydney Local Health District (HREC: LNR/18/LPOOL/128). As per our protocol and ethics approval, all participants were provided with a Participant Information Sheet prior to surgery and were asked to provide verbal, informed consent to be followed up post-discharge. The follow-up data are not used in this analysis as this study focuses on the acute care period.
