Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study has been approved by the National Healthcare Group Domain Specific Review Board, Singapore (NHG DSRB reference no. 2014/00501). Written informed consent was sought from all participants for their participation in the study and the uptake of hearing aids. A Chinese, Malay, and Tamil version of the informed consent was provided to non-English speaking participants.
