Ethics approval and consent to participate
: According to Danish law, ethical approval from the National Committee for Health Research Ethics is not required for conducting interviews as long as the data are used anonymously . The project was registered with the Danish Data Protection Agency number 18/27313, and permission was granted by the Spine Centre management. Those interviewed were informed through oral and written information and written consent was obtained prior to all interviews. The interviewed were informed that they could withdraw their consent at any point during the project without consequences for further collaboration. Data were depersonalised to ensure anonymity.
