: Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of the West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University (Approval number 2020–1270). Out survey was conducted online during the epidemic of COVID-19 from February 7 to 29, 2020. Because of lockdown and other limits, we could not get the consent document from participants. The Institutional Review Board of the West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University, agreed us get verbal informed consent. We called the nursing homes, described the goal of our survey, and asked if they would be interested in participating in our survey. We also explained to the candidate participants that if they want to quit the survey, they had the right to stop answering the questionnaire at any time. We also promised to keep the personal information of participants confidential in our survey. The first question was “Would you like to take part in this survey,” if the participants choose yes, they agree to take part in our survey. All participants gave verbal informed consent.
