: Ethical clearance was obtained from CMHS-IRB of the University of Rwanda (Approval Notice: No252/CMHS IRB/2018) and the research was also permitted by the management of the study hospitals and health centers. All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations.The population is made of nurses and midwives providing maternal and neonatal care in the health centers and these were participating in the mentoring program as mentees. All those nurses and midwives were above 18 years old and informed consent was obtained from all subjects. All subjects were allowed to withdraw from the research at any time during the research period.
