: The study was approved by the Regional Ethical Review Board in Uppsala, Sweden (no. 2015/493) and by the head of the department at the labor ward. Informed consent was acquired from the women before the birth records were reviewed. The information was in Swedish and in addition translated into English and the two most common languages, Arabic and Somali, requiring interpretation needs in the labor ward.The information to the women emphasized that participation was voluntary, and no unauthorized persons had access to the participants’ identities. The study was carried out in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration.
