An informed consent form was signed by each participant’s parent(s) or legally acceptable representative(s) before enrollment into each study. If the parents were illiterate, an independent witness fully explained and signed the informed consent form. Also, informed consent form was signed by physicians and nurses (healthcare practitioners).
