: The study was approved by the Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics in eastern Norway (REK South-East no. 2018/758). The methods used in this trial were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines. All participants were informed about the study by the staff in home care services, who knew the patients beforehand, and gave their written informed consent. The staff in the home care services evaluated each participant’s ability to give consent to participate in the study; in cases where the participant was considered not able to consent to participation, a next of kin who knew the patient well consented on behalf of the patient. Relatives of the included participant gave their written informed consent to participate.
