: Approval was obtained from the Malawi, College of Medicine (P.11/19/2869) and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (19–076) ethics committees. All methods were carried out in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki guidelines since this research involved human participants. All hospitals gave permission to conduct the study. All healthcare workers who agreed to participate in the study signed an ethics-approved informed consent form in English.
