: SBL is doing this research as part of her dissertation research. WKM and LM have long experience in the research field of elder abuse and neglect, whereas JAS have contributed with his experience in qualitative research.
: The study is approved by the ethics committee of The Norwegian Centre for Research (NSD), registration number 221320. Participation in the study is based on a written informed consent given in response to an information letter given prior to the focus groups and interviews.
