: In Bangladesh, we do not seek for BMRC approval for any health-related project unless it includes observation and/or experiments involving human precipitants. This is advised in BMRC guidelines (EthicalGuidelines.pdf (bmrcbd.org)). Therefore, ethical approval was not required for the study as per Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) guidelines. However, this research was done in accordance with all the obligations of Nuremberg Code and Declaration of Helsinki and all ethical principles outlined by the BMRC and interviews were conducted only after obtaining signed informed consent from the participants. This was done to ensure respect, beneficence, non-malfeasance and justice for the participants.
