: The IMHDSS received ethical approval from the Makerere University School of Public Health Research and Ethics Committee (IRB #: 042). Consent was sought from the head of households and the caretakers before any interview was conducted. All participants and/or their legal guardians gave their written informed consent for participation in the study following a detailed explanation of the research purpose. There is no personal identification disclosed in the data as individual participants were given codes to maintain anonymity. The data was stored in Microsoft Excel and it was password protected to achieve a high level of data protection to maintain the confidentiality of the study participants. All methods employed in this research are per relevant guidelines and regulations in the Declaration of Helsinki.
