: Ethical approval and oversight were provided by the research ethics committees of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the UK and the Medical Research Co-ordinating Committee of the National Institute for Medical Research in Tanzania. Permission was also sought from the Local Government Authorities and health facilities where the integration of integrated healthcare service delivery took place. Written informed consent was obtained from all the study participants. Participants’ confidentiality, privacy and anonymity were maintained throughout the project’s implementation. Participants were also informed that their participation was voluntary and that they could withdraw from the study at any point if they so wished. All the methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
