: This study was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University (COA No. IRB-NS2023/754.1602). Approval was also granted by the committees of selected hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health consist of Chonburi hospital (50/66/h3), Krathumbaen hospital (No.004/66), Ratchaburi hospital (No.010/66), Sawanpracharak hospital (COE N0. 8/2566), Saraburi hospital (ECO19/2566). Informed consent was obtained from the emergency department head and nurse. Legal guardians provided consent for psychiatric emergency patients because they had psychotic symptoms or behavior problems. The psychiatric emergency patients who did not have their legal guardians coming with them were not included in the study. Ethical guidelines were followed for all procedures.
