: The study received approval from the Population Council Institutional Review Board (Protocol number 992). In Nigeria, ethical approval to conduct the study was obtained at national and state levels. At the national level, approval was granted by the National Health Research Ethics Committee with approval number NHREC/01/01/2007-17/01/2022. At the state level, ethics applications were submitted, and approval obtained from individual State Health and Research Ethics Committee before the commencement of field activity.
