: Ethical approval for this study was sought from the Makerere University School of Public Health Research and Ethics Committee. All participants provided informed consent before taking part in the study. The consent process adhered to ethical guidelines and was approved by the Makerere University School of Public Health Research and Ethics Committee, ensuring that participants were thoroughly informed about the study's purpose, procedures, and any potential risks.Administrative clearance to access the study participants was obtained from the district health office of Namutumba district and the administration of respective health facilities. All collected data were handled with confidentiality. All interviews were conducted with consideration of the participant’s privacy. Participants were reassured of confidentiality and anonymity. This was enhanced by identifying a quiet and convenient place within each of the study health facilities for interviews. There were no major risks associated with this study and all participants were informed about any potential risks that would arise. There were no direct benefits attached to this study and all participants were informed prior to consenting to participate in this study.
