: The questionnaire respondents were both the expert clinicians and the top management of the national patients’ associations. Based on their experience, they provided their expert opinion about the clinical and organizational challenges in improving disease-specific patient care pathways. The respondents involved were invited to complete the questionnaire by email. Except for the research team members and authors of this work, no personally identifiable data was collected during the project. The results discussed in this manuscript are based on voluntary research and do not involve experimental research on human subjects or the use of human tissue samples.
