The Institutional Ethics Committee (CIE-INS) and the National Bioethics Committee for Health in Mozambique (CNBS) provided ethical approval, ensuring compliance with ethical standards. The study protocol was also reviewed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), deemed not research, and was conducted consistent with applicable federal law and CDC policy.
