: In accordance with NHS Health Research Authority guidelines for research studies [] and the NHS Research Ethics Committee review requirements [], NHS ethics committee approval was not necessary, and this study was conducted as a service evaluation. As per the definition of research set out in the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research [] and according to the result of the HRA Decision Support Tool [], a key feature of research is to produce generalisable or transferable findings, which this project did not intend to do. Local approvals were obtained from participants organisations. All participants in this service evaluation/quality improvement project provided informed consent before taking part in discussions in the workshops and focus groups. Participation in the workshops, focus groups, and surveys were voluntary. The survey was prefaced with written text that stated data collection was anonymous and data would be used to understand the enablers and barriers to delivering cross-site competencies. Completion of the survey denoted implied consent.
