: The Danish Health Data Authority provided all data for the present study. No data were missing. Data were processed on the Danish Health Data Authority’s secure platform, Forskermaskinen. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.The processing of personal data was approved by the Region of Southern Denmark (internal record 19/432,119) cf. Art 30 of The General Data Protection Regulation. According to Danish law, studies based on register data do not require approval from an ethics committee or informed consent from study participants [].The telephone interview was developed for the present study. Prior to the telephone interview, we contacted the health directors in the individual municipalities and obtained written permission to contact the care homes. The telephone interview collected no personal information, only overall organisational and publicly available information.
