: We obtained ethical clearance for undertaking this study from the Ethical Review Board of the Nepal Health Research Council (Registration no. 575/2021 P) and the Research Ethics Committee of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (no. 21–081). We complied with ethical standards as per the national ethical guidelines of the Nepal Health Research Council and the declaration of Helsinki. Study participants were informed about objective of the study, study process, risk and benefit of participation, their voluntary participation, their right to withdraw from the study at any point and anonymity of the data. We obtained consent from all participants in this study. All interviews were conducted in neutral settings, maintaining privacy and ensuring confidentiality throughout the research process.
